Adult Studio Art - Development 




$150/ 5 class session


    In this intermediate-advanced art class, each student will be encouraged to develop their own creative interests and personal art-making process within their chosen medium. The emphasis is on the development of techniques and methodologies. Projects are self-guided and students work independently while receiving individual instruction from the Teaching Artist in a supportive group setting. 

    Please allow 20-30 minutes at the end of class for reflection and critique.

    Studio Policies

    • Make up classes are limited and are only available as space allows. 
    • Covid 19: Mind's Eye Art Studio will follow guidelines and regulations for classrooms settings. All unvaccinated students and staff must wear a face covering at all times until further notice. Social distancing requirements and studio safety guidelines are enforced at all times. 
    • Classroom procedures: Please arrive promptly for your class. We ask students to begin cleaning up approximately 10 minutes before the end of class to ensure that the supplies are organized and studio is clean and ready for the next class. 
    • Zero tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, hate-speech, aggression or disruption in the classroom: We reserve the right to refuse admission to any student that is deemed to be dangerous or disruptive to others. 
    • ​Refunds: No refunds available at this time. 

    Supplies suggested but not required are as follows:


    Variety of graphite and charcoal pencils 

    Eraser (standard/gum)

    Loose drawing, bristol and/or watercolor paper (at least 11x14" recommended)

    Sketchbook (9x12" recommended) 

    Watercolors (pan and/or tube)

    Acrylic and/or oil paints with variety of oil mediums

    Colored pencils 

    Mod Podge or acrylic gel medium

    Pastels (chalk and/or oil) 

    Variety of brushes

    (round, flat, filbert sizes 2-12)

    Water jar and paper towels

    Table or adjustable floor easel if needed

    Clipboard and/or drawing board
